They both switch identities (Shion with Mion, Sayo switches from Shannon to Kanon and vice versa) and no one realizes.īoth fall in love with a boy who’s kind to them (and who has a younger sister).īoth have a time in which they have a troublesome relation with that boy’s sister (Shion in the beginning hates Satoko, Sayo, as MetaBeatrice, in Ep 4 feels that Battler only cares for going back to Ange and doesn’t see her anymore and in Ep 8, int he beginning, Ange resents her and the two even have a fight).īoth ends up on waiting for the boy they love without knowing when he’ll be back and fearing he’ll never come back, uncertain of his feelings for them.īoth ends up desperate by their apparently endless waiting for the one they love.īoth lose faith in the one they love and ends up being unable to wait for him to be back.īoth ends up thinking they shouldn’t have been born.īoth ends up killing many people, well, sort of (Sayo actually never got along to implementing her plan even if she blames herself for the death of everyone).īoth kill themselves (Shion let herself fall from the roof, Sayo drowns herself). They both work as maids (Shion for the Angel Mort, Sayo for the Ushiromiya). They both ended forced away from her family and, even when they’re ‘back’, they’re not quite part of it (Shion is sent to St Lucia, Sayo to the Fukuin orphanage, when they’re back Shion lives in an apartment of her own while Sayo is a servant and not considered a family member). They both ended up having their age lowered (Shion only slightly as she becomes the younger twin, Sayo instead got her age lowered of three years) They both were supposed to become heirs to the family head but didn’t. They both are 16, sort of (Shion is 16, Shannon is supposed to be 16 even if she’s actually 19). One of the kanji in their name can be spelled as 4 (’shi’ in Shion, ‘yo(n)’ in Sayo) They both have a name that ends with ‘on’ 音. There’s plenty of similarities between them! Some of them are trivial and some are connected to their personal story but there’s really a lot.
